TÜBİAD's international work is organised in four regions: Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Cooperation that begins in Türkiye is developed on a project basis and for mutual benefit with business organisations, associations, foundations, universities, ministries and other public institutions in each region. The International Relations and Cooperation Directorate coordinates the regional work.
Responsibilities of the regional working groups
- Keeping institutional files up to date, covering the fields of activity, representatives and cooperation expectations of institutions in the region
- Setting the agenda for institutional meetings around shared needs and concrete project topics
- Developing topics for joint research, education programmes, technology, foreign trade, workshops and expert exchange
- Defining roles, resources, communication and the sharing of results in cooperation frameworks
Regional work is turned into project files within the International Institutional Cooperation Programme and the International Market Access and Business Development Programme. Institutions are matched on the basis of their field of activity and specific project needs rather than general contact. The participation process consists of introduction, needs meeting, common topic, working framework, joint implementation and ongoing cooperation; every joint initiative is carried out within a framework that defines the contributions and responsibilities of the participating institutions.
