Cem R. DURAN

Cem R. DURAN was born in Erciş in 1986. He completed his studies in business administration at Pamukkale University and Afyon Kocatepe University. During his student years, from 2008 to 2012, he took part in the work of the international student organisation AIESEC.

DURAN began his career in the private sector and served as a senior executive at some of Türkiye's leading export companies. A Certified Public Accountant, he brought his experience in financial management and foreign trade to his own venture, founding Tibet Lojistik, which operates in international transport and exports, and becoming its Chairman of the Board.

DURAN has held various roles in business organisations and is a member of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO), TÜRMOB and İSMMO. He serves as a Board Member and Head of External Relations of the Marmara Business World Platform (MAİD) and as a Board Member of Sarıyer Green Crescent (Yeşilay). He has carried out various civil society activities in Istanbul.

DURAN conducts research on the economy and the business world and has written numerous articles on these subjects. With the aim of contributing to the international development of Türkiye's economy, he has been responsible for numerous initiatives in the Gulf region, the Middle East, the Caucasus, the Balkans, Europe and Africa.

As Chairman of the Board of TÜBİAD, DURAN is responsible for setting the institutional direction, developing relations between institutions and coordinating shared areas of work.
